About the role
- Establish and maintain transition standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Oversee team performance to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent delivery.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting, process design, and client reporting issues.
- Manage resource allocation, utilization, and team efficiency.
- Promote consistency and standardization in scope, timelines, enterprise pricing, and quality standards across engagements, minimizing customization.
- Conduct structured client assessments to identify objectives, risks, system requirements, and reporting needs.
- Translate assessment findings into clear, actionable project plans.
- Review transition plans for quality, accuracy, and adherence to firm standards.
- Implement quality-control measures to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy.
- Oversee account cleanup, data migration, workflow setup, and baseline reporting.
- Identify and implement efficiency and automation opportunities.
- Lead standardization efforts to improve onboarding consistency and client experience.
- Support system integration and configuration across multiple accounting platforms.
- Provide authoritative guidance on GAAP and related accounting principles.
- Establish risk-identification, escalation, and mitigation protocols.
- Maintain compliance with firm standards and quality-assurance checkpoints.
- Maintain clear phase-exit criteria for smooth transitions to recurring services.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and development for team members.
- Develop and maintain onboarding playbooks, templates, tools, and KPIs.
- Ensure consistency across regions, teams, and industry pillars.
- Partner with practice leaders and business development to align delivery with client expectations and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Transitions Technology Team Leader on system and workflow decisions.
- Provide transparent, consistent reporting on progress, risks, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting and client onboarding/ implementation leadership
- Extensive experience in CAS or managed accounting services, including multi-platform ERP implementations
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and Managed Services operations
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable accounting processes
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience leading successful distributed teams and driving quality, efficiency, and profitability
- Strong relationship-building and advisory capabilities
