About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Function as the technical authority for all I&S New Energy Well Engineering scope
  • Lead development of technical standards and best practices for New Energy well design, planning, and operations
  • Build and lead a central team of New Energy well engineers supporting global project implementation
  • Collaborate with OFSE product lines to provide integrated solutions for I&S Well Intervention projects
  • Participate in industry groups to understand New Energy technology and industry trends
  • Identify 3PV scopes for engineering and technology and collaborate with supply chain on strategy
  • Build multidisciplinary workflows for well design, planning, and operational well delivery
  • Support training and competency program development
  • Assure technical solutions for global onshore and offshore shallow-water projects
  • Lead peer reviews and technical audits of global projects
  • Provide technical support to global I&S New Energy projects
  • Support digital solution packages for New Energy Well Design
  • Collaborate on New Energy Project KPIs and dashboards
  • Support I&S OFSE digital application development projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or Energy, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university, or relevant industry experience
  • 15+ years of relevant oil & gas well engineering experience
  • Comprehensive well design and operations expertise
  • 5+ years of Geothermal well design experience
  • Preference for proven experience in high-temperature environments of 250°C or greater
  • 3+ years of Geothermal Project development and Operations experience preferred
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Operational and engineering experience
  • Proven ability to write detailed operational procedures and conduct detailed simulations, including casing design
  • Must be located in or near the displayed locations
  • Ability to work general hours, 8 AM–5 PM
