About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and execution of engineering strategies for horizontal pump (HPump) product lines
- Focus on new product development (NPD), cost optimization initiatives, and engineer-to-order (ETO) solutions
- Work closely with engineering teams, Product Line Managers (PLMs), and cross-functional partners
- Ensure HPump products meet design, performance, reliability, and quality standards
- Drive innovation, support product lifecycle management, and deliver cost-out programs
- Lead and assign phases of technology and product development projects
- Coordinate with PLMs and collaborate with manufacturing engineering, product R&D, and supply chain
- Enable efficient ETO processes to meet customer-specific requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or any Science discipline)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering/technical roles with strong competency in mechanical design
- Demonstrated experience leading teams
- Experience developing, reviewing, and updating design standards, practices, and best practices
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering project management experience in new product development (NPD) and product introduction (desired)
- Prior people leadership experience in product development, research, or engineering environments (desired)
- Experience managing projects across remote and global/multi-location teams (desired)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and operational problems
- Proven leadership in advancing technical solutions and driving innovation in pump or rotating equipment applications
- Proficiency with standard project management tools and processes
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
