About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- Manage claims; including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. and may also include purchasing activities
- Advise Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures in the own field
- Handle communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems
- Lead as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects; goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Sourcing)
- Strong work experience in Direct sourcing/ procurement
- Possess experience in Commodity Management
- Experience in ERPs like SAP or Oracle
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Permanent work permit in UK
