About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
- Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service.
- Completing timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer.
- Building relationships with customers to provide a high-level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health.
- Calculating and overseeing placement of balance weights.
- Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
- Have minimum 2 years of industry experience.
- Be available for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant over-time (paid).
- Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
- Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
- Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of reliability services.
- ISO certification for vibration analysis.
- Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
- Experience working under stressful working conditions.
- Project Management skills.
- Solid computer skills using MS Office software.
- Mechanical trouble shooting skills.
- "Hands-on approach".
- Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.
- Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems.
- Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment.
- Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and CordantTM services.
