Senior Finance Manager – Indirect Tax

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert VAT advisory support to business units across MENAT.
- Assess VAT implications of new business initiatives, contracts, and transactions.
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively advise leadership on impacts and required actions.
- Oversee timely and accurate VAT filings across multiple MENAT jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal VAT policies, controls, and process improvements.
- Lead end‑to‑end VAT refund processes, ensuring timely submission and follow‑up with authorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for VAT audits, inquiries, and clarifications.
- Prepare regular VAT dashboards and key metrics for senior leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax law, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CTA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
- 8+ years of VAT experience, preferably within the MENAT region.
- Experience working with Big 4 firms or regional tax authorities is strongly recommended.
- Proven track record in VAT advisory, compliance, and audit management.
- Strong understanding of VAT frameworks in GCC and broader MENAT jurisdictions.
- Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and strong English communication skill
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
