About the role
- Leading mechanical engineering input for subsea tenders, studies, and early engagement activities
- Interpreting client specifications and translate them into compliant, cost-effective technical solutions
- Developing and reviewing mechanical designs, layouts, and technical documentation for subsea systems and components
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, sourcing, and project engineering
- Providing technical support to commercial teams during bid preparation and client presentations
- Ensuring solutions meet applicable industry standards (API, ISO), internal design practices, and customer requirements
- Mentoring junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team
- Supporting risk assessments, design reviews, and lessons learned activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in mechanical design or application engineering within the subsea oil & gas sector
- Strong understanding of Subsea Production Systems, with detailed knowledge of Subsea Christmas Trees, Tubing Hangers and their associated tooling
- Proficient in the use of engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, MathCAD, Teamcenter)
- Experience of requirement management and interface management, and proficiency in the use of relevant software (e.g. DOORs, SmartPDF)
