About the role

  • Responsibility for management & delivery of engineering projects consisting of a number of major engineering systems, disciplines, platforms, assemblies, equipment or software products
  • Management & integration of multi-disciplined engineering teams; leadership of engineering resources, delivery of packages of work/services, involving new products and/or complex upgrades, utilising new and existing technologies, requiring multiple interfaces with customers/suppliers or partners
  • Delivery of projects to meet customer and contractual obligations for cost, quality, timeliness and specification, resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities
  • Integration and solution development to meet a coherent and prioritised set of demands, tailor and apply engineering processes, tools and approaches to develop innovative and creative solutions to contracts and specifications
  • Sign off for design, legal and technical requirements for projects

Requirements

  • Technically credible (although not hands on) with FPGA, C++, VHDL
  • Product delivery experience
  • Managing software/hardware engineering projects
  • Security Clearance: Qualify for full, unrestricted, UK Security Clearance. You’ll need to be a UK National, either from birth, or naturalised as well as being a permanent UK Resident for the last 5 years
