About the role
- Lead operational variance analysis, including overhead, labor, shop order close and material variances across manufacturing and supply chain functions
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on operations-related financial data and provide audit support as needed
- Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to develop and manage the operational budget, including overhead allocations and cost center planning
- Analyze and report on actual vs. budget performance for operational departments, identifying drivers of variance and recommending corrective actions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate product cost changes, new product introductions, and their impact on operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario planning for operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or operations-heavy environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with AS400 or similar ERP systems
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate actionable insights
