Sales Manager – East Region

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and Develop Your Team
- Coach, mentor, and empower Account Managers to achieve individual and team goals.
- Identify knowledge gaps and implement training programs to strengthen team capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that aligns with Badger Meter’s values.
- Drive Strategic Growth
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with national objectives.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure success.
- Forecast revenue, manage budgets, and analyze variances to optimize financial outcomes.
- Champion Innovation
- Collaborate with internal teams to introduce cutting-edge water technology solutions to customers and distributors.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive offerings to maintain Badger Meter’s leadership position.
- Build Strong Relationships
- Engage with key customers and distributors to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Support Account Managers in high-level presentations and strategic negotiations.
- Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with Marketing, Solution Architects, and Channel Managers to ensure seamless support throughout the sales process.
- Provide insights and feedback to influence product development and enhance customer experience.
- Represent Badger Meter
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to showcase our leadership in water technology.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or related field required.
- 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the utility or water industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop strategies, and deliver results.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer engagement and team support.
