About the role

  • Responsible for management of the business segment, including competitive analysis and product planning
  • Develop short- and long-range business plans for the product lines consistent with market needs
  • Forecast business for the product lines within the business segment and coordinate with Manufacturing and Purchasing to manage inventory
  • Define and maintain detailed functional definitions of new products based on analysis of market requirements
  • Develop marketing plans for specific products, including sales objectives and target market
  • Determine product pricing and pricing strategies/policies based on established gross margin objectives
  • Prepare competitive analysis and formulation of competitive counter strategies
  • Manage product life cycle, including initiation of product improvements and enhance product obsolescence
  • Coordinate with strategic business partners to ensure achievement of business plan objectives
  • Manage assigned white labeled product agreements as they pertain to the business segment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience in a similar field desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Comfortable with software development tools and methodologies preferred
  • Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
