About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the installation of building automation systems
  • Use a variety of hand tools and interpret control drawings to install temperature control systems
  • Prepare for on-site installation by examining building layout and coordinating with other trades
  • Maintain assigned stock of inventory and company equipment
  • Document work by completing paperwork on each job
  • Serve as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep current on Trane products concerning installation of direct digital control systems
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles and tools
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
  • Technical School or formal training is preferred
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
  • Knowledge of low voltage electricity and electronics (board level troubleshooting)
  • Experience with direct digital controls and building control techniques
  • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations
