About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the installation of building automation systems
Use a variety of hand tools and interpret control drawings to install temperature control systems
Prepare for on-site installation by examining building layout and coordinating with other trades
Maintain assigned stock of inventory and company equipment
Document work by completing paperwork on each job
Serve as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
Keep current on Trane products concerning installation of direct digital control systems
Inspect and maintain vehicles and tools
Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
Technical School or formal training is preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software
Working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
Knowledge of low voltage electricity and electronics (board level troubleshooting)
Experience with direct digital controls and building control techniques
Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations
