About the role
- Lead construction projects: oversee all aspects from initiation to completion with emphasis on safety and quality
- Coordinate project completion: ensure timely completion within cost, quality, and schedule objectives
- Manage client relationships: coordinate effectively with clients and subcontractors to fulfill project deliverables
- Set deadlines and monitor progress: allocate responsibilities and provide regular reports to leadership
- Provide team leadership: guide and direct project team members and manage overall team work
- Ensure safety and quality compliance: collaborate with customers and Babcock Power Safety and Quality personnel
- Travel to and stay near construction sites as required
- Maintain top-notch quality and client interactions throughout project execution
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five plus years in substation electrical construction
- At least 3 years in direct supervision
- Trade licensing preferred or willing to obtain
- Familiarity with commercial terms, substation construction practices, and legal standards
- Comprehensive understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair processes in substations
- Ability to convey information effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite for project management tasks
- Maintain quality standards while handling high work volumes
- Previous experience in electrical project management is a plus
- Expected to travel to and stay near the construction site
