About the role

  • Bring senior commercial expertise to a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
  • Partner with business units to shape strategy and support business development.
  • Ensure commercial interests are protected.
  • Manage commercial management, procurement, subcontracting, and bid support.
  • Guide complex tenders and develop commercial strategies.
  • Draft contractual documentation and manage risk across major opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to align commercial models and delivery approaches.
  • Contribute to governance reviews and support negotiations.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and transition newly awarded contracts into delivery.
  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering capability and commercial excellence.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Defence, Commercial and Aviation industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, supply-chain engagement and business management.
  • Experience of engaging with national and international customers and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of managing trade controls compliance including importing and exporting.
  • A passion for written communications, creativity with attention to detail and accuracy and a desire to deliver complex high-quality business outcomes.
  • Sound understanding of legal principles.
  • Commercial, civil, defence and government experience desirable.
