About the role
- Help lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of critical assets across our nuclear facilities.
- Play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of site-based assets, ensuring they remain compliant, available and safe.
- Preparing, reviewing and authorising test documentation to required standards in alignment with outage and maintenance schedules.
- Carrying out inspection, testing, calibration and commissioning of systems and equipment, diagnosing faults and proposing corrective actions.
- Identifying and recording defects and emergent work to ensure all issues are captured and resolved efficiently.
- Ensuring the safe operation of plant and processes while complying with Nuclear Site Licence and Modification Authorisation Conditions.
- Leading the day-to-day activities of electrical and mechanical commissioning engineers, supporting their ongoing development.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge and experience of commissioning, operations and maintenance on assets within Devonport.
- Knowledge of safe release of systems, Lock Out Tag Out, and Safe Systems of Work.
- Experience with maintenance, repair or breakdown of heavy-duty mechanical or electrical systems.
- Ability to cover day and back shifts, with occasional weekend work, and work at height.
- Ability to understand and work within complex regulatory frameworks and operational controls.
- ONC or NVQ Level 4 (or above) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
