About the role

  • Lead and deliver Human Factors Integration activities across multiple high-profile defence programmes.
  • Apply human-centred design principles to ensure systems are operable, maintainable, and safe.
  • Undertake Human Factors analyses such as task analysis, workload assessments, usability evaluations, and human error analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
  • Liaise with customers as the HF point of contact.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of HF capability within the business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of applying HF principles and methods in defence, aerospace, or similarly complex domains.
  • Familiarity with defence standards (e.g., DEF STAN 00-251, JSP 912) and HFI frameworks, or equivalent from another industry background
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
