About the role

  • Join Babcock as a Procurement Specialist and play a key role in delivering strategic procurement for our Marine Engineering sector.
  • You’ll lead RFx activities, shape category strategies that strengthen supplier relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and embed SRM practices that lift performance across the supply base.
  • Your insights from market analysis and cost modelling will optimise total cost, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
  • You’ll manage supplier escalations, uphold due‑diligence standards, and help embed consistent category management.
  • You’ll operate in a dynamic environment that demands agility, sound judgement, and a steady hand.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement/Logistics, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Eligibility to obtain (or current) NV1 security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement/category management within complex, regulated settings (Defence or engineering services desirable).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS or similar)
