About the role

  • Supporting the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet through innovative structural design and engineering solutions.
  • Leading the development of section capabilities within the Structures team while providing technical support across the wider business.
  • Directing technical outputs and coordinating multidisciplinary activities.
  • Performing structural assessments using hand calculations and finite element analysis.
  • Designing for explosive shock survivability and managing structural defects.
  • Driving capability upgrades and supporting future platform projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational ability to deliver in complex environments.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or ability to demonstrate required competencies) with full membership of a relevant engineering institute.
  • The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
