About the role
- Supporting the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet through innovative structural design and engineering solutions.
- Leading the development of section capabilities within the Structures team while providing technical support across the wider business.
- Directing technical outputs and coordinating multidisciplinary activities.
- Performing structural assessments using hand calculations and finite element analysis.
- Designing for explosive shock survivability and managing structural defects.
- Driving capability upgrades and supporting future platform projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural analysis and design.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational ability to deliver in complex environments.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or ability to demonstrate required competencies) with full membership of a relevant engineering institute.
- The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
