About the role
- Leading and motivating teams to deliver complex shipbuilding projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Managing front-line managers and driving daily business performance
- Chairing planning meetings with stakeholders to align priorities
- Reviewing and adjusting build plans to meet delivery targets
- Overseeing volumetrics throughout the build programme
- Collaborating with subcontract managers to mitigate downtime
Requirements
- Essential experience of the Production Manager
- Knowledge of shipbuilding processes
- Ability to interpret shipbuilding, piping, and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with zone working and modern outfitting methods
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project scheduling
- Time-served trade background
- ONC/HNC preferred but not essential
- Recognised safety training (e.g., IOSH, working at height, confined space)
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
