About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support audit, review, compilation, and assurance engagements.
- Plan and coordinate the different phases of client engagements.
- Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Identify audit risks, accounting issues, internal control concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout the engagement process.
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships through responsive and high-quality service.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of staff accountants.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on engagement strategy, timelines, and client matters.
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Stay current on auditing standards, accounting guidance, regulatory requirements, and relevant industry developments.
- Assist with monthly accounting or QuickBooks Online activities when needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2-5 years of public accounting audit experience.
- Experience performing audit, review, compilation, or other assurance engagements.
- Strong understanding of audit methodology, financial statements, and accounting principles.
- Ability to independently manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client service mindset and interest in continued professional growth.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within an engagement team.
