About the role

  • Backend development: Drupal 10/11 setup, content modelling (Paragraphs/Layout Builder)
  • Search API + Solr with PDF indexing and auto-complete
  • 3 online calculators with CMS-manageable parameters and complex calculation logic
  • REST API integration (AKIS, appointment booking, chatbot preparation)
  • Custom module development, security, performance
  • CI/CD, Composer, Git workflow
  • Optional – Technical Project Lead: coordination of 2 senior Drupal developers (frontend + backend)
  • Sprint planning, code reviews, technical architecture
  • Stakeholder communication and documentation

Requirements

  • German/Swiss German at native level — ability to understand Swiss German to interact with the client and lead sprint reviews
  • At least 5 years of Drupal backend experience in a digital agency
  • Experience with public sector projects or Swiss institutions
  • Technical: Drupal 10/11 custom module development
  • Search API / Solr, including PDF indexing
  • PHP 8.3+, REST APIs, dependency injection
  • Webform with complex calculations
  • WCAG 2.1 AA, OWASP, Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG)
  • For project leadership additionally: at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Lead
  • Leading developer teams using Scrum
  • Experience with Jira
  • Advantageous: experience with Swiss social insurance institutions / compensation funds
  • If taking on technical project leadership: PSPO certification
