About the role

  • Analyze user groups and their needs
  • Develop user journeys and personas
  • Define navigation and information architecture concepts
  • Design the search functionality with autocomplete and relevance ranking
  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Design a modular component system for Drupal
  • Design three online calculators with complex form logic
  • Responsive design for all devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop)
  • Accessible design according to WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Adhere to an existing corporate design manual (color palette, typography, icon style)
  • Conduct usability tests with real participants
  • Iteratively improve designs based on user feedback
  • Handover to development team with detailed specifications

Requirements

  • Swiss German or German at C2 level (native or fluent) – mandatory
  • At least 5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer at a leading Swiss digital agency
  • Independent project ownership and experience advising clients and presenting new projects/concepts
  • Proven projects in the public sector or for Swiss institutions
  • Solid experience with CMS-based websites (Drupal, TYPO3 or similar)
  • Expertise in accessible design according to WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Experience with complex forms and interactive calculators
  • Knowledge of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Proficient with Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries
