About the role
- Act as the Scrum Master for one or more agile teams
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Remove impediments and proactively manage risks and dependencies
- Apply a pragmatic approach to Agile to ensure enables delivery rather than hinders it
- Coach and support Product Owners and team members to maximise value delivery
- Collaborate with Project Sponsors, Project Manager, Business Analysts, SMEs, Architect and Developers
- Protect the team from unnecessary interruptions and help maintain focus on sprint goals
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and shared ownership
- Encourage collaboration, self-organisation, and accountability within the team
- Monitor and report on delivery health using appropriate agile metrics
Requirements
- 5+ years proven hands-on experience working as a Scrum Master within agile delivery teams
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
- Experience supporting multiple delivery teams or working across complex, multi-team programmes
- Practical experience facilitating core Scrum ceremonies and supporting iterative delivery
- Experience working closely with Product Owners to maintain well-prioritised and clearly defined backlogs
- Demonstrated experience identifying, managing, and removing impediments to delivery
- Experience using agile delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, etc)
- Experience applying agile metrics to monitor delivery health and support continuous improvement
- Experience supporting technology, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
- Solid experience of the Software development lifecycle
- Agile and scrum certifications
- Experience working in regulated or governance-led environments (e.g. alternative investment, financial services, professional services, or similar)
- Exposure to scaling agile approaches or working alongside other frameworks (e.g. SAFe, Kanban, Lean)
- Experience contributing to agile communities of practice or organisational maturity initiatives
- Coaching or facilitation training beyond core Scrum certifications
- Experience with technology projects/programmes with automation and process orchestration
- Experience with Power Platform and Camunda technology
- Ability to influence organisational change
