About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategic responsibility for the IT and Electronics categories within the FP Group
  • Further development and structuring of IT procurement with focus on software, licenses, SaaS, cloud and services, as well as hardware
  • Management and competitive review of the existing supplier portfolio for electronic components and assemblies
  • Development and implementation of category, supplier and negotiation strategies in coordination with the business units
  • Independent management of procurement projects from needs analysis through to contractual implementation
  • Commercial and contractual evaluation of offers and negotiation of prices, scopes of services, SLAs, contract terms and termination provisions
  • Research, selection and qualification of national and international suppliers
  • Monitoring of contract durations, price developments, supplier performance and agreed remedial measures
  • Close collaboration with the relevant business units and the international FP companies
  • Handling selected operational procurement transactions at the Purchasing Desk and ensuring system-side implementation of agreed conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in business or engineering, a commercial vocational qualification or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, ideally in IT and/or electronics
  • Experience in purchasing software, licenses, SaaS, cloud and IT services, IT hardware or electronic components
  • Confident execution of tenders, proposal evaluations and contract negotiations
  • Solid experience in contract, supplier and category management
  • Good knowledge of IT contract models, license metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) as well as technical understanding of electronic components and assemblies
  • Confident use of ERP systems and MS Office; knowledge of SAP, Exact or Oracle NetSuite is an advantage
  • Very good German skills and business-fluent English
  • Independent, structured and results-oriented working style and willingness to take responsibility for topics and projects
