About the role
- Manage and develop channel partners’ business in North America.
- Serve as primary liaison between channel partners and Azenta organization.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Lead regular business reviews to understand growth projections, funnel pipelines, and customer care support.
- Develop growth plans and initiatives in conjunction with internal stakeholders and channel partners, with clear demonstrable growth across the portfolio.
- Provide visibility, insight, and training into competitive landscape throughout the market and within channel partners’ businesses.
- Use data analytics to understand sales patterns and identify areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Legal, etc to align channel initiatives with overall business goals.
- Independently manage channel partners’ day-to-day operational needs.
- Support direct sales and channel partner commercial organizations.
- Provide training and sales support to channel sales teams, including but not limited to trade show events, new product introductions, applications, etc…
- Track key channel partner opportunities with the Salesforce CRM
- Identify, recruit and onboard strategic new partners.
- Provide training, support, and resources to ensure partners are equipped to sell effectively
- Negotiate and manage partner contracts and agreements
- Align North America regional channel strategy with Global channel strategy
Requirements
- 7-10 years of channel management, supplier management, channel sales and/or product management experience, preferably in the life science market.
- Deep understanding of distribution and/or reseller models
- Experience with and knowledge of the laboratory space, sample storage and/or molecular biology market is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentations, customer service and business acumen
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally.
- Desire to independently own and manage internal and external relationships, keeping the customer at the forefront
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Experience with SalesForce CRM is desirable
- Demonstrated experience working with sales support and technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required
- Act as a mentor to less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
