About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Point Cloud Registration & Processing (primary focus)
- Import, register, and QC scan projects in Leica Register360 and Cyclone.
- Support point cloud registration and processing using NavVis Ivion.
- Shadow and progressively take ownership of related data processing tasks in a variety of software platforms.
- Assist in review of OPUS reports and control point observations.
- Support review of aerial photogrammetry and drone-captured imagery outputs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate file handling.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processing time in point cloud registration.
- Strengthen documentation practices so that processing decisions and QC checks are traceable.
- Assist with terrestrial 3D laser scanning.
- Help coordinate field activities with internal teams and project stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. in engineering, geomatics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in a technical, data-intensive, or built-environment-adjacent role (project controls, field surveying, or similar all qualify).
- Demonstrated proficiency in data workflow tools appropriate to the role (e.g., scripting, database, or automation platforms).
- Strong documentation habits and QA/QC discipline; ability to learn new specialized software quickly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Comfortable with occasional fieldwork and travel (up to 50%).
- Prior hands-on land surveying or site engineering experience (preferred).
- EIT certification or equivalent technical credential (preferred).
- Exposure to LiDAR, photogrammetry, or point cloud concepts (preferred).
