About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own customer outcomes within a strategic account across the full lifecycle of Axon's ecosystem
- Discover agency problems onsite and translate them into compliant solutions tied to mission outcomes
- Design, build, test, and ship AI agents, workflows, automations, integrations, and data pipelines on Axon's platform
- Configure, integrate, and extend DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records, and related systems in agency environments
- Iterate in the field until adoption sticks and document reusable patterns
- Apply CJIS, evidence integrity, and privacy guardrails to every build
- Troubleshoot onsite and coordinate root-cause resolution across Product, Engineering, Support, and Services
- Build and deploy AI-powered workflows using agents, prompts, RAG, and evaluations
- Drive hands-on adoption and measure usage, workflow impact, and mission outcomes
- Assess onsite workflows, identify friction, and define build priorities
- Validate hypotheses with command staff and operators and lead operational transformation
- Build relationships with agency leadership and stakeholders; lead QBRs, mission reviews, and strategic planning
- Define success metrics and establish baselines before major deployments
- Capture customer insights and adoption barriers to influence Product and Engineering roadmaps
- Turn one-off builds into reusable playbooks and operational frameworks
- Identify expansion opportunities and partner with Sales on account strategy
- Maintain onsite presence approximately 3-4 days per week
- Track customer success metrics including production use, adoption depth, workflow improvements, and mission outcomes
- Support Sales-to-Post-Sales onboarding and handoff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 8+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles, program management, operational transformation, or complex deployment environments
- Proven experience shipping working automations, agents, workflows, integrations, or AI-enabled tools in customer environments
- Experience configuring products, writing integration logic, and delivering production-ready solutions
- Comfort across hardware, software, cloud, AI-enabled technologies, and integrated systems
- Strong communication with technical teams and senior stakeholders, including command staff in mission-critical environments
- Full ownership mentality in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Ability to navigate competing priorities across Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Services
- Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and adhere to security standards
- Former law enforcement or military experience preferred, not required
- Public safety, law enforcement, corrections, or other mission-critical operational experience preferred
- Familiarity with Records, Evidence, digital workflows, AI-enabled platforms, or integrated public safety ecosystems preferred
- Background in forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or operational transformation at scale preferred
