About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Axon 911’s public safety strategy, strengthen industry partnerships (NENA/APCO), mentor the Public Safety team, and drive KPIs, scalability, innovation, and long-term growth.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to align solutions with customer needs, improve onboarding/training, and drive adoption across high-value public safety customers.
  • Gather customer feedback to influence product enhancements, prioritize AI-related initiatives, coordinate early-access programs, and ensure solutions meet operational needs within public safety organizations.
  • Support market expansion and deal strategy through industry expertise, customer relationships, speaking engagements, workshops, webinars, thought leadership, and strategic go-to-market initiatives.
  • Optimize workflows and processes while driving measurable outcomes tied to customer satisfaction, retention, product adoption, strategic partnerships, lead generation, industry engagement, and cross-functional business improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience within public safety, emergency communications, or PSAP operations, including experience serving at the Deputy Director level or above (or equivalent senior leadership role).
  • Deep expertise across PSAP operations, NG911, CAD, emergency communications workflows, and evolving public safety technology trends.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with PSAP leaders, industry associations (NENA/APCO), executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic leadership experience driving scalable programs, operational improvements, and cross-functional initiatives in complex environments.
  • Ability to translate customer feedback, operational challenges, and market insights into actionable product, business, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills, including executive presentations, workshops, industry events, and consultative sales support.
  • Collaborative, data-driven mindset with experience defining KPIs, measuring success, and driving continuous improvement in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
