About the role
- Advise aerospace and aviation clients on global IP strategy, portfolio management, and enforcement.
- Guide products through all phases of the development cycle, identifying IP assets and implementing protection strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial, technology, and licensing agreements for multinational corporations.
- Support regulatory compliance, due diligence, and cross-functional business initiatives, including sourcing, logistics, and financial services.
- Lead education and training initiatives on IP, patents, and trademarks for engineers, scientists, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product teams to align IP strategy with innovation goals.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in intellectual property and corporate law, ideally with aerospace, aviation, or technology industry experience.
- Proven experience managing global IP portfolios, including patents, trademarks, and licensing agreements.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and client-facing skills, capable of advising legal and business stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, experienced with IP management systems and modern legal technology tools.
