About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run required pumps, agitators, shakers, scales, and viscosity measurement equipment safely and efficiently
Perform daily scale calibrations
Maintain housekeeping and participate in area cleanup
Wash tanks, pumps, piping, and loading equipment
Load/charge tanks with capacities from 5 to 500 gallons
Move and lift gallon stock, drums, and totes
Follow established process instructions and documentation while monitoring equipment
Filter product by loading/charging FSI filters and traps
Label containers according to established process, customer, and DOT requirements
Perform auditing
Perform selective maintenance tasks and equipment switch-outs to keep processes running
Operate computer-controlled equipment
Follow site, area, and Standard Operating Procedures guidelines
Assist in training other employees

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma required
At least 3 years’ experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Good computer skills
Ability to work a 40-hour work week, including occasional weekday and weekend overtime
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; and draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagram instructions
Ability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed team environment
Comfortable working with hazardous materials while using proper PPE
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Previous experience operating lift trucks/material handling preferred
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours per day
Ability to repetitively climb ladders/stairs, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, reach above shoulders, and turn wrench/valve handles
