About the role

  • Lead and coordinate the national field technician team
  • Set objectives, monitor performance and conduct annual reviews
  • Organize team operations (priorities, travel, geographic coverage)
  • Develop technicians’ technical and soft skills
  • Serve as the national technical reference for products, processes and equipment
  • Provide expert technical support on complex or sensitive cases
  • Occasionally intervene on-site with strategic clients
  • Design and deploy training programs (for clients and internal teams)
  • Ensure correct application of products and adherence to technical processes
  • Support sales teams with technical expertise (projects, tenders)
  • Contribute to customer retention and performance for key accounts
  • Maintain technological and regulatory watch and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Technical training in bodywork and paint or equivalent
  • Proven experience in automotive painting/body shop environment
  • Successful experience managing technical teams (regional or national)
  • Excellent knowledge of paint products, application processes and colorimetry
  • Good understanding of body shop equipment and spray booths
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Leadership, organizational skills and ability to unite teams
  • Strong teaching skills and a passion for knowledge transfer
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment with sales and management
