About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert guidance on DoD procurement policies, procedures, and regulations to internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate contracts, solicitations, and procurement documents in accordance with federal acquisition standards.
  • Support the planning and execution of procurement strategies for defense projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities in meeting defense requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to defense procurement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and technical departments, to facilitate procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of procurement actions for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Stay current on changes in defense procurement regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFCM or CPCM are preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in DoD procurement, contracting, or acquisition.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and negotiate complex contracts and solicitations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
