About the role
- Welcome and greet customers with a smile
- Communicate well with customers, coworkers, and store management
- Know the store layout to help customers find what they need and answer their questions
- Operate a cash register efficiently
- Follow company policies, including cash handling and loss prevention procedures
- Inform management about pricing, inventory, and out-of-date issues
- Protect company assets and stock merchandise in the store and backroom
- Sort and organize damaged and outdated products and notify management of out-of-stock items
- Keep the store neat and clean by sweeping, dusting, straightening merchandise, and taking out the trash
- Continuously replenish stock on the sales floor
- Assist with inventory counts and resolving inventory discrepancies
- Perform other related tasks as needed
Requirements
- Being flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse personalities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Capability to lift 40-60 pounds
- Comfortable working in an environment exposed to varying temperatures
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
