About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Unpacking and inspecting returned merchandise
Shipping outbound packages and freight
Maintaining inventory accuracy by keeping a clean and organized shipping department
Imputing received merchandise info on the computer system
Processing and distributing merchandise
Reviewing merchandise to determine disposition
Updating paperwork and inputting correct information into the system
Adhere to Avocado’s Safety standards
Assist with other functions as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a logistics or shipping position
Forklift Experience is a plus, but not required
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent communications skills
Organized with high attention to detail
Capable of working in a team environment, and in various departments across the facility
Comprehensive utilization of warehouse systems
Follow company safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations
Report incidents, injuries, and hazards to managers
Able to identify work hazard situations
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
