About the role
- Responsible for the overall implementation, management and continuous improvement of the company’s Ethics & Compliance Program in the Asia Pacific region
- Assess compliance risks and needs; develops compliance policies and processes; develops and delivers compliance training; monitors compliance processes; conducts ethics and compliance investigations; provides guidance to business teams on compliance-related matters; promotes a strong ethics and compliance culture
- Support and implement global compliance initiatives in the Region; contribute to the further development of the Ethics & Compliance Program globally
- Provide strategic leadership for export and re-export activities in the region; work with others in the Global Trade Compliance Team to provide expert level guidance
- Develop and review the Company’s Global Trade Compliance Program Manual, policies and procedures
- Oversee compliance and risk audits; develop corrective action plans
- Build relations with government agencies in the region
- Ensure all Company’s registrations with applicable agencies are kept current
- Stay informed of laws and regulations changes
- Implement global trade compliance training programs
Requirements
- Typically 10+ years including 5+ years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law or a related field required
- At least 10 years of experience in the trade compliance area in Asia Pacific
- Fluent English and Mandarin
- Certifications of completion of government training programs desired.
