About the role
- Administer and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters, including installation, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using ArgoCD.
- Troubleshoot system, container, and network-level issues across distributed environments.
- Implement and monitor security and access policies in line with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless CI/CD workflows.
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitor performance and health of workloads, nodes, and clusters using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Maintain documentation and operational runbooks for infrastructure components and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience managing on-premises Kubernetes environments (kubeadm, containerd, etc.)
- Strong experience with ArgoCD for GitOps workflows and continuous delivery
- Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring stacks, including Grafana Alloy, Prometheus, metrics pipelines, and alerting
- Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
- Solid scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar
- Familiarity with storage and networking concepts in Kubernetes
- Understanding of RBAC, secrets, taints, tolerations, and other Kubernetes primitives
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
