About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and approve contract terms and manage commercial correspondence work with legal counsel where required.
  • Attend site meetings for contractual discussions and advise on the project issues.
  • Valuing variations and monitoring project performance.
  • Interpret project documentation to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare monthly reports including JCR's (Job Costing Reports) and place orders in timely manner for procurement.
  • Demonstrate expertise in dispute resolution and risk management.
  • Assist in improving supply chain on conducting commercial audits.
  • Produce cash flows and ensure correct notices are issued as per contracts in place.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers/Engineers and place supplier/subcontractor orders.
  • Prepare and submit client applications and reconcile reports.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in managing mechanical engineering projects, preferably in the energy or power industry.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
