About the role
- Maintain and manage financial records using Microsoft Business Central.
- Record daily transactions including sales, vendor invoices, and expenses.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice tracking and collections.
- Review payroll entries and ensure compliance with government remittances (e.g., HST, WSIB, source deductions).
- Support year-end closing and liaise with HO accounting team.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting including variance analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and distribute management information (MI) reports to support operations
- Support insurance paperwork and maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business or service-based environment
- Experience of working in Microsoft Business Central
- Experience in an auto body or automotive setting is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
- Systems-savvy with strong ability to work with software tools, extract and link data, generate reports, debug issues and identify insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
