About the role

  • Maintain and manage financial records using Microsoft Business Central.
  • Record daily transactions including sales, vendor invoices, and expenses.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice tracking and collections.
  • Review payroll entries and ensure compliance with government remittances (e.g., HST, WSIB, source deductions).
  • Support year-end closing and liaise with HO accounting team.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting including variance analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and distribute management information (MI) reports to support operations
  • Support insurance paperwork and maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business or service-based environment
  • Experience of working in Microsoft Business Central
  • Experience in an auto body or automotive setting is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
  • Systems-savvy with strong ability to work with software tools, extract and link data, generate reports, debug issues and identify insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
