About the role

  • Review and analyze policies, appraisals, and technical reports to assess claim value and negotiate fair settlements.
  • Effectively manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in line with Aviva’s standards, with customer service at the forefront.
  • Create outstanding experiences for our customers, turning stressful situations into positive moments.
  • Operate within your authority, using your judgment to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate file records and adhere to all Aviva Specialty Claims protocols.
  • Work closely with various teams to produce good claims outcomes, participate in projects, come with a growth mindset, and share feedback to help us continuously improve.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2+ years of previous claims adjusting experience.
  • Genuine interest in Lifestyle claims—whether it’s RV’s, travel trailers, or watercraft, we are looking for someone who is passionate about our products and getting our customers back to using them.
  • Progress toward or completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP/FCIP).
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • Provincial Licenses for the Atlantic provinces.
  • Prior Property, or Specialty claims (trailers, RVs, watercraft) experience.
  • Experience with and demonstrated ability to effectively handle complex and high value.
