About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle email and phone inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding client accounts
  • Process and coordinate investment instructions, account setups, updates, transfers, redemptions, and contributions
  • Execute discretionary trades supporting redemption and contribution requests
  • Act as primary contact for resolving problems and complaints by investigating, recording details, referring matters to relevant departments, and following up
  • Provide guidance and support on SMA program procedures, forms, and practices
  • Assist with monthly fee billing
  • Analyze departmental trends and prepare reports such as volume and escalation tracking
  • Support delivery of service standards with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and timeliness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as a degree, diploma, or certificate in Business or Finance
  • Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH)
  • Licensed as an INV Registered Representative or eligible to be licensed as an IR within 30 days
  • Minimum of 5 years’ customer service experience, including 2–3 years within the financial services industry or equivalent
  • Experience preferably serving high net worth clientele
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working experience with Portfolio Management software, Bloomberg, or Morningstar preferred
  • Fluent communication skills in English required; bilingual French is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties
