About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process requested transfers in accordance with service level agreements
  • Monitor the transfers mailbox and collect incoming mail
  • Initiate new manual or NELTC transfers, including internal transfers
  • Verify the status of initiated transfers and follow up as required
  • Provide operational support for transfers to external institutions
  • File documents for completed transfers and shred all printed documents
  • Review transfer inquiries and respond to requests
  • Assist and back up other members of the transfers team as needed
  • Take on special projects or other assignments as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of back-office administration experience in a mutual funds/investment firm
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet daily deadlines
  • Team-oriented, both within the department and across the organization
  • Strong desire to develop subject-matter expertise over time, to communicate with and understand the functions of other operations teams, and to take proactive steps in that direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge and experience with Dataphile, Fundserv, CDS, and DTCC considered an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) required to communicate fluently and effectively with partners, clients, and colleagues across Canada
  • Availability to work standard Eastern Time hours
