About the role

  • Support integration, administration, and security of Nutanix Hyperconverged environments, Linux/Unix and Windows servers, network infrastructure, and mission-critical ICS/OT systems in a DoD setting.
  • Ensure reliable operations, compliance with USMC security requirements, and resilience of monitoring platforms across high voltage, water/wastewater, and mechanical control systems.
  • Administer and monitor Nutanix Hyperconverged environments supporting FRCS Monitoring servers and applications.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure secure LAN/WAN connectivity for virtualized platforms and ICS/OT systems.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of the Cyber Monitoring Services OT Monitoring Platform, including Central Store, Site Store, and distributed Sensors.
  • Provide secure network and system integration with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows, and Linux/Unix-based resources.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers; apply patches, monitor performance, and troubleshoot services.
  • Harden Linux systems per DISA STIGs and DoD guidance; implement user access controls, file permissions, and audit logging.
  • Automate administration tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or other configuration management tools.
  • Utilize MCCAST V2 to document compliance and maintain security posture; apply NIST 800-53, DoDI 8510.01, and RMF standards.
  • Support HBSS implementation and administer/secure ICS/OT platforms (Metasys, Niagara AX, Honeywell, Rockwell, OSI, Alerton, Trend, KMC, Itron).
  • Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLANs, BACnet/MSTP, BACnet/IP, N2, LON, and SCADA; assist with vulnerability assessments and POA&Ms.

Requirements

  • Administer and monitor Nutanix Hyperconverged environments supporting FRCS Monitoring servers and applications.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure secure LAN/WAN connectivity for virtualized platforms and ICS/OT systems.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of the Cyber Monitoring Services OT Monitoring Platform, including Central Store, Site Store, and distributed Sensors.
  • Provide secure network and system integration with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows, and Linux/Unix-based resources.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in production and lab environments; apply patches, monitor performance, and troubleshoot services.
  • Harden Linux systems in accordance with DISA STIGs and DoD security guidance, including user access controls, file system permissions, and audit logging.
  • Automate administration tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or other configuration management tools.
  • Utilize the Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST V2) to document compliance and maintain security posture.
  • Apply DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, DoDI 8510.01, and RMF standards to guide secure design, configuration, and operations.
  • Support implementation of Host-Based Security System (HBSS) to enforce endpoint security controls.
  • Administer, patch, and secure ICS/OT platforms (e.g., Metasys, Niagara AX, Honeywell, Rockwell, OSI, Alerton, Trend, KMC, Itron).
  • Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols including TCP/IP, VLANs, BACnet/MSTP, BACnet/IP, N2, LON, and SCADA.
  • Assist with vulnerability and risk assessments, tracking POA&Ms, and implementing remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with USMC DEVSECOPS policies for operational technology.
