Business Development Manager – GIS
AvineonBusiness Development Manager focused on geospatial sales for government agencies and utilities. Responsible for managing client relationships and closing business opportunities in GIS services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage our geospatial sales effort.
- Responsible for selling GIS services to state and local government agencies and utilities.
- Develop and manage client and partner relationships as part of a sales team.
- Identify and close business opportunities.
- Develop long-term customer relationships.
- Lead proposal development efforts and other related sales activities.
- Deliver against an annual revenue target.
- Create sales strategies and executing account plans in support of goals and objectives.
- Exhibit and present at conferences and regional events.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technology field (successful work-related experience in a geospatial services company may substitute).
- Technical understanding of GIS services.
- Three to five years of proven outside direct sales experience with a focus on geospatial services or software products.
- Self-motivated leader who exhibits a sense of urgency in all sales and service-related activities and can motivate a sales team.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to establish and build relationships quickly with all levels of management.
- Travel is required for this position.
