About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage our geospatial sales effort.
  • Responsible for selling GIS services to state and local government agencies and utilities.
  • Develop and manage client and partner relationships as part of a sales team.
  • Identify and close business opportunities.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Lead proposal development efforts and other related sales activities.
  • Deliver against an annual revenue target.
  • Create sales strategies and executing account plans in support of goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit and present at conferences and regional events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technology field (successful work-related experience in a geospatial services company may substitute).
  • Technical understanding of GIS services.
  • Three to five years of proven outside direct sales experience with a focus on geospatial services or software products.
  • Self-motivated leader who exhibits a sense of urgency in all sales and service-related activities and can motivate a sales team.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to establish and build relationships quickly with all levels of management.
  • Travel is required for this position.
