About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Managed Services Partner to oversee and supervise global transfer pricing compliance obligations, including country-by-country reports, Masterfile, local files, IRC Section 482 and OECD-compliant documentation, and related notifications
- Support Avient’s intercompany transfer pricing policies covering tangible pricing, R&D reimbursement, royalties, headquarters and regional management services, financing, secondments, and cost-sharing arrangements
- Manage or assist with transfer pricing audit defense
- Manage or assist with internal valuations and review third-party valuations
- Manage or assist with operating model simplification and plant rationalization projects
- Provide support and input on due diligence related to M&A transactions
- Prepare tax models, draft step plans, and provide leadership on transfer pricing projects and transactions
- Review operational transfer pricing outputs and analysis prepared by the Managed Services Partner
- Represent Avient in cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives, aligning tax with broader business goals
- Support global tax initiatives to optimize effective and cash tax rates
- Support Avient’s income tax provision process as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accredited four-year degree in accounting or economics
- 5+ years of Transfer Pricing experience at a public multinational or in consulting for the same
- Knowledge and experience applying US and OECD transfer pricing laws and regulations
- Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Critical thinking and ability to own responsibilities in a fast-paced, results-focused environment
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects
- Ability to work in a dynamic, informal, often ambiguous, rapidly changing business environment
- Experience with manufacturing or technology companies preferred
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred
- Additional regional language proficiency appreciated
