Senior Manager – Solution Consultants
AvidXchange, Inc.Senior Solution Consulting Manager at AvidXchange leading a team to drive pre-sales execution. Responsible for managing technical wins across complex B2B sales cycles and aligning with sales and product teams.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a talented team of Solutions Consultants, providing coaching, technical guidance, and career development.
- Own the demo strategy and operating standards of the SC team, ensuring all demos are high-quality, customized demonstrations and presentations that showcase AvidXchange solutions.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Onboarding teams to improve team expertise, technical knowledge, and industry insights.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on product roadmap, current and future capabilities, and customer feedback.
- Partner with Sales, Channel Sales, and Account Management leadership to align pre‑sales strategy and resources to revenue priorities.
- Monitor and communicate product changes, enhancements, and announcements to ensure the SC team is updated and current.
- Directly manage and develop the team and drive performance management with clear expectations for technical / product mastery, employing consultative selling skills, and gathering regular feedback from stakeholders.
- Represent AvidXchange at industry events, webinars and in executive-level discussions with partners and customers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in sales, solutions consulting, or sales engineering in a business-to-business environment.
- 5+ years of experience with financial application packages and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
- Proven success in leading teams and driving revenue growth through strategic solutions.
- Strong record of achievement in technical solution expertise and enterprise-level deal support.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience; advanced certifications in product, industry, or engineering are a plus.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior leadership and executives.
- Experience working with Mid-Market or Enterprise-level customers, successfully achieving quota and driving business impact.
