About the role
- Uncover user needs through research, develop insights, and generate design concepts across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Lead system thinking and service design initiatives across multiple products, platforms, and service experiences.
- Transform customer and business requirements into intuitive, feasible, and compelling product and service solutions.
- Guide end-to-end design processes including discovery, research, ideation, flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Facilitate workshops such as service blueprinting, journey mapping, and story mapping to align business objectives, user needs, and design strategy.
- Develop prototypes and mock-ups for new service concepts and test them with users to iterate and improve design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, content designers, researchers, and other designers to ensure cohesive experiences.
- Present design rationale, decisions, and inspiration clearly to stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Champion cohesion and consistency across the organization by guiding others’ designs in alignment with the experience strategy and design system.
- Lead the practice at the intersection of Product Design and Service Design, sharing expertise to enable and mentor others.
- Nurture AvidXchange’s design culture and principles within your team and across the design practice.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Product Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
- 5+ years of leading large-scale product design initiatives and mentoring other designers.
- 5+ years of planning, designing, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops.
- 5+ years of experience creating experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality digital products and demonstrate depth of design skill through portfolio or case studies.
- Mastery of core design skills in interaction design, information architecture, and user interface design.
- Strong experience communicating complex problems clearly and influencing stakeholders.
- Proven ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of design decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Design, HCI, or related field.
