About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support PMA-262 (Triton Program Office) at NAS Patuxent River
  • Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge as part of an engineering staff
  • Account for, store, issue, inventory, destroy when necessary, and safeguard COMSEC material
  • Create and retain required accounting documentation
  • Verify users have the proper clearance and authorization to access COMSEC material
  • Issue COMSEC material on local custody forms
  • Provide written guidance on handling, accountability, and disposition of COMSEC material
  • Conduct training on COMSEC procedures
  • Incorporate emergency action and emergency destruction procedures for COMSEC material
  • Handle data transfer devices used to key cryptographic equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 10 years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory
  • Experience working with COMSEC equipment
  • Adherence to COMSEC processes and procedures
  • Expertise in handling data transfer devices for keying cryptographic equipment
