About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the executive’s schedule
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts for the executive and outside agencies
  • Control user and visitor access to the facility using JPAS/JCAVS
  • Provide base access via BASICS II
  • Utilize the Defense Travel System
  • Schedule base visits and submit visit requests for civilian and military personnel using DISS
  • Receive and establish accountability for incoming classified material
  • Prepare and transmit classified material properly
  • Update and maintain personnel security files
  • Apply Infosec 5200 series, volumes 1–4, for DoD information protection
  • Maintain building and area access control systems
  • Keep personnel informed of policy and procedure changes
  • Provide office management support, including budgeting and personnel records
  • Conduct research and prepare briefing charts and presentation materials
  • Perform filing, phone coverage, appointment scheduling, and travel arrangements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Three or more years of experience in office management, filing, and related office equipment operations
  • Knowledge of the NAVAIR travel system DTS (Defense Travel System) desired
  • Knowledge of JPAS (Joint Personnel Adjudication System) desired
  • Knowledge of CMP (Common Message Processor) system desired
  • Knowledge of BASICS II (Base Access Security Information Control System) desired
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to perform administrative, secretarial, office management, security access, classified-material handling, and personnel security duties
