About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Engineer will provide direct support in developing organizational constructs, aligning operating models, and interfacing with OPNAV and other stakeholders to ensure integration across large-scale Naval enterprise environments.
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military aircraft, aircraft propulsion and power systems, and related support systems.
- Support the establishment and development of the Naval Aviation PAE CD&I organization.
- Assist in forming organizational constructs, operating models, and integration strategies that align with broader Naval Aviation and OPNAV ecosystems.
- Review, develop, and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, briefings, and other technical documentation.
- Support system integration, fuels analysis, configuration management, quality assurance testing, acquisition planning, and resource management activities.
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, and systems related to engineering or functional requirements for military weapons systems.
- Collaborate with government, military, technical, and programmatic stakeholders to support mission engineering, rapid capability development, and disruptive technology initiatives.
- Provide technical insight and recommendations to support decision-making, planning, and execution across complex Naval Aviation efforts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Chemical, Systems, General, Electrical, Mechanical.
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience applying engineering principles to military aircraft, aircraft propulsion and power systems, weapons systems, or associated support systems.
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience preparing or reviewing engineering documentation, technical analyses, reports, or change proposals.
- Ability to support system integration, configuration management, testing, acquisition, or resource management activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
