About the role
- Architect and lead large-scale technical AI initiatives and drive the implementation of AI technologies
- Identify, document, develop, and translate across AI technical architectures and AI business architectures
- Drive forensic technical work to proactively identify and help mitigate technical risks, AI infrastructure bottlenecks, and scaling challenges
- Drive multi-threaded technical AI initiatives and translate emerging AI technology signals into workflows
- Architect and drive AI technical programs orchestrating complex technical decisions across multiple functions
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure technical feasibility and translate AI use cases into roadmaps
- Support establishing and managing a cadence for AI solution reviews, decision making, prioritization, alignment, and resource management
- Track progress, maintain information and relevant technical documentation and dashboards
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in AI technical program management
- Significant experience (5+ years) managing complex AI/ML initiatives as an AI technical lead or AI engineer lead
- Strong at abstraction and turning bespoke/one-off AI strategies into reusable patterns, templates, and reference implementations
- Exceptional technical background with deep intuition for applied AI in highly regulated industries
- Recent experience with modern AI paradigms such as: world models, foundation models, multi-modal language models, agent-based systems, orchestration, context retrieval and augmentation techniques
- Experience in highly regulated domains including industrial, IoT, life sciences, manufacturing, energy, or asset-intensive domains
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to influence cross-functional and matrixed teams
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or related technical field; Ph.D. degree preferred
